Le Marronnier – Our Local Favorite
Just a short stroll from Chalet Les Buchilles, Le Marronnier is a classic village restaurant with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The menu features local specialties, prepared with love and served by a friendly team. It’s our go-to for a relaxed evening out close to home.
Le Crémaillère – Charming and Authentic
Also located in Taninges, Le Crémaillère offers a refined take on traditional French cuisine. The ambiance is rustic and intimate – perfect for a cozy dinner after a day in the mountains. The service is attentive, and the wine list is a pleasant surprise for such a small village.

La Table de Fifine – Savoyard Cuisine in Samoëns
Located about 20 minutes from Taninges in the picturesque village of Samoëns, La Table de Fifine serves elegant versions of classic Savoyard dishes in a beautifully decorated chalet-style setting. Expect cheese, charcuterie, and seasonal ingredients with a creative twist.
Le Lodge – Michelin Bib Gourmand
Also in Samoëns, Le Lodge recently received a Bib Gourmand recognition from Michelin – a sign of excellent value for money. The menu balances Alpine comfort food with contemporary touches, and the quality is consistently high. Definitely worth the trip.

Lac de l’Airon – A Hidden Alpine Gem
For a real mountain dining experience, take the lift up from Les Carroz to the top of the Kédeuze gondola, then enjoy a scenic 30-minute hike to Lac de l’Airon. The small mountain restaurant here serves hearty, homemade meals in a stunning lakeside setting. It’s remote and rustic – don’t forget to bring cash, as card payments aren’t accepted.
Le Chalet – At the Top of the Sairon Lift
Another wonderful spot in the heart of the mountains is Le Chalet, located at the summit of the Sairon lift in Morillon. Ideal for lunch with panoramic views, this restaurant offers generous mountain fare and a sunny terrace. A perfect reward after a hike or ski session.
